Therizinosaurus is a very large theoropod dinosaurs. Therizinosaurus is comprised of a single species, which had lived during the late Cretaceous Period.

Feeding Grounds

Usually found soaking in the swamps, where they use extended necks for nipping tall flowering plants growing out from the water.

The Giant Claw

Their hands end in three long scythes, the largest claws of any animal to have ever lived, with each one up to a whole meter in length.

Naturally, you don't want to get stabbed by them. A quick flurry of vicious swipes can easily bring down most predators.

Feathers! Feathers Everywhere!

These big bizarre herbivores are covered from head to tail with a thick coat of feathers.

Being from a warmer climate, this covering did not arise for insulation. Instead, brightly coloured plumage is a key factor in attracting a mate.

The long, bushy tail also helps incubate and protect their eggs when brooding.
