Pterodactylus is a small pterosaur from the Tithonian age of the Jurassic period. The genus contains on species, P.antiquus.
The Pterodactylus was added to the EVRIMA branch of The Isle as an A.I. animal that scavenges bodies along with the Compsognathus.
In Real Life[]
Pterodactylus was a small pterosaur that was the first one to be named and described as a flying reptile. Pterodactylus had long, thin skulls that held 90 narrow, conical teeth that helped them catch invertebrates.
In The Isle[]
Pterodactylus was added sometime after Update 4 as a A.I. scavenger that flies around any carnivore that eats a body that it has landed at. They continue to fly around the play as a way of giving away the players location, making them more of an annoyance than an actual threat. They were later removed but are seemingly readded to the gateway map and now attack players around corpses at times and pose a big threat to all small playable and a moderate to a full grown omniraptor.
