Plateosaurus is an genus of plateosaurid sauropodomorph from the Late Triassic (late Norian and Rhaetian of Europe. There are two species; P.engelhardti (the type) and P.gracilis.
In Real Life[]
Plateosaurus was a large creature for the Triassic, at about 8 meters (26 feet) long and 700 kg (1,500 lbs) in weight. It was likely an omnivore, using its elongated neck to feed on higher vegetation than other herbivores. Its teeth were pointed and peg-like.
It has been debated for centuries how Plateosaurus moved; current scientific consensus is that it was an obligate biped; its wrists are unable to pronate, suggesting it couldn't walk on its hands.

It has simply been stated by the devs that Plateosaurus has an "older model", where they also said that it is "very large". It is likely to be redone sometime long after the recode.

- As of 3/17/2021, the Plateosaurus, along with the Rauisuchus are both stuck in development, neither recieviving any mention from the devs since its original reveal. Punchpacket has state that there "is nothing to share" about either of them.
