Magnatyrannus is an upcoming Strain Dinosaur that is coming to The Isle.
Information[]
It looks similar to the Primal Carnage Rex, but is based on the Hypo and normal Rex. It also has an Alligator-like hide, with osteoderms heavily armoring it’s back.
It is shown to be capable of killing a Hyperendocrin Tyrannosaurus, if only on occasion.
Magnatyrannus requires large prey such as Triceratops, Shantungosaurus, and Puertasaurus as a food source, but not as frequently as opposed to the Hypos.
The Magnatyrannus is not that fast compared to the other Hyperendocrins and is even slower than the Type-H Hyperendocrin Giganotosaurus at a speed of roughly 35km/h but with ambush is around 42km/h. (Going off it chasing a Maiasaura.)
Prey[]
Due to this combat-enhanced Strain, the MagnaTyrannus may still require food more often than the regular Tyrannosaurus Adult. The food needed will be on the heftier side of the buffet line as it will need to hunt: Puertasaurus, Shantungosaurus, and Triceratops. If food is scarce enough, it may have to resort to frequent smaller meals like Parasaurolophus and Apex Carnivores. On another note, if players wanted to, it can take on Camarasaurus, such that pose threats to the even more ravenous and powerful Hyperendocerines.

Combat[]
The MagnaTyrannus uses the same combat methods of all the other Carnivores; biting. So far, no special abilites have been shown other than being able to put up a fight against a HypoTyranno. It is unknown if it does any bleed or has weight-based damage buffs/debuffs. It MAY have damage reduction to other Magnas similar to Rexes dealing less damage when fighting one another, please note this is PURELY SPECULATION, and is not official in anyway.

- In a Dev Stream showcasing the MagnaTyrannus and his roars, it is seen using a skin identical to the Primal Carnage Tyrannosaurus.
- A Developer Stream teasing the MagnaTyrannus shows it roaring, the vocalization heard is the Primal Carnage Tyrannosaur’s Ability Roar.
- The MagnaTyrannus is considered the “perfect” medium between the base genome and Hypo Dinosaur, as it is hungry enough to survive.
A preview of a Dev Stream shown by Anthomnia, the MagnaTyrannus seen has a skin similar to the Primal Carnage Tyranno.
