Gallimimus is a genus of ornithomimid theropod from the Maastrichtian stage of the Cretaceous, from around 70 million years ago. The type species is G.bullatus.
Gallimimus was added to The Isle on the game's release, along with Puertasaurus, Austroraptor, Carnotaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex and Shantungosaurus,
In Real Life[]
Gallimimus was one of the largest Ornithomimosaurs, standing about 2 meters tall at the hip and around 8 meters in length. It was discovered in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia, where the giant Ornithomimosaur Deinocheirus was also discovered.
Gallimimus was probably herbivorous, although omnivory has been suggested. It was likely preyed upon by the tyrannosaurids Alioramus and Tarbosaurus.
It was fairly typically-proportioned for an ornithomimid, sporting a long neck with a small head, long legs, and a long tail. Gallimimus shows a number of adaptations to a cursorial lifestyle; a strong ilium, heavy tail base, and long limbs, with the legs possessing a long tibia, a long metatarsus, and short toes. Despite these adaptations, it is unknown exactly how fast Gallimimus was.
In The Isle[]
Gallimimus is a relatively defenseless dinosaur, relying mainly on its high speed and a large amount of stamina to outrun pursuing predators. They can attack by kicking with their legs; and while this is dangerous for smaller, weaker predators like Herrerasaurus and Austroraptor, it is best to flee when confronted by larger, more durable predators such as Allosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. A Gallimimus with a broken leg is easy prey for any carnivore, as it loses the main advantage it has over its predators; speed. Gallimimus is currently the fastest herbivore in the game in a normal sprint, and has the longest lasting stamina, making it very efficient at running away from predators. Some faster Carnivores, such as Utahraptor and Carnotaurus can catch Gallimimus while in an ambush sprint or normal sprint respectively.
For this reason, it is a good idea for Gallimimus to group up into herds with larger and more well-defended herbivores such as Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Shantungosaurus. The speed and high stamina of the Gallimimus make it a good scouter; and while it doesn't do much damage, the foresight to the herd it provides is valuable for fending off carnivore attacks.
It is one of the only dinosaurs to be able to outpace Hyperendocrins in stamina and also able to outspeed the Type-H Giga (not including ambush) and Type-H Rex (not including ambush). But it is able to out-turn the Type H Carnotaurus so it has the most likely chance of survival against it.
"The Gallimimus relies primarily on it's high speed and maneuverability to keep itself alive against pursuing threats. While it's diet primarily consists of vegetation the Gallimimus is an omnivore, allowing it to feed upon the eggs of other dinosaurs."

Characterization
The Gallimimus is a group-focused animal that is bolstered by the strength of its flock to escape predators at speed and migrate across the island. Skittish in nature, this animal strongly prefers flight over fight. Unlike most animals, the gallimimus seeks to remain in perpetual motion for its safety. While its diet primarily consists of vegetation, the Gallimimus is an omnivore that will feed upon the eggs of other dinosaurs, as well as frogs, crabs, and hatchlings of certain species.
Mobility
Gallimimus has a tremendous capacity for speed and distance, but is slower to accelerate than many other inhabitants of the island. This requires a consistent level of vigilance or remaining in motion to stay safe. This animal's diet strongly ties in to the top speed they can reach as well as how strongly a pack leader can influence the top speed of other members of the flock, provided they are in formation.
Feeding Habits
More information at Diet System.
Though it is an omnivore, Gallimimus is able to eat plants to satisfy all three of its nutritional needs. Mangos provide carbohydrates, sunchoke roots and pumpkins provide lipids, and sumac provides protein. All of these plants are located out in the open, offering no concealment for this creature's tall frame and forcing it to rely on its above-average speed. In addition, its diet of pumpkins and sumac puts it in competition with Stegosaurus, which could lead to conflict.
In addition to plants, Gallimimus can also subsist on small game. Crabs along the coasts provide carbohydrates, while bullfrogs in wetland areas provide protein. A unique "foraging" mechanic allows Gallimimus to dig these creatures straight out of the ground. Forage spots are revealed by scent in the form of a claw-shaped icon.
Lastly, some animals may view Gallimimus as an ever-present threat to their young despite its superficially docile nature.
Constitution
Gallimimus is a relatively fragile creature in comparison to other island inhabitants. This animal relies on putting distance in between itself and any potential danger, or simply never stopping long enough for danger to arrive.
Noteworthy Characteristics
Gallimimus is a loud animal, capable of using a mobilization call to boost the speed of itself and the flock. This gives a temporary movement boost on activation. Combining this with flocking and diets makes this animal capable of easily roaming through the island, though drawing attention to themselves
